With Carlos Arroyo traded to Detroit
and now Keith McLeod on the injured list,
Raul Lopez stepped
in as the starter and put up career numbers with 20 pts and 11
asts in a Utah victory (Box
Score). McLeod will be out at least four more games.
Lopez can also provide some steals and is a career 43.3% FG
shooter which isn't bad for someone who can hit some treys. His
job security for the next four games should be good but realize
beyond that he may end up settling back in as a reserve.
Willie Green went from the end of
the bench to a star last night with Iverson out with a shoulder
strain. His career night included 32 pts, 4 ast, and 2 treys.
This is quite a bid for playing time but his minutes will likely
remain
volatile, particularly after Iverson returns. Iverson is
day to day.
Over his last six games
Joel Przybilla has been averaging
a double double as the starting center for Portland. Oddly in
this span he has not been blocking shots, something he had
previously excelled at.
Chris Kaman has been very
productive recently for the Clippers as their starting center
including 14 pts, 16 reb, and 5 blocks last night.
With Baron Davis out,
Dan Dickau has been putting up
great numbers including 23 pts and 10 ast last night.
