Last call for
Josh Childress. He is 22-29 FG in
his last three games including 2-3 treys. his line tonight includes
20 pts, 10 reb, and 4 ast. He does not contribute much beyond
points typically but he has 31 rebounds in this three game span.
His spurt of playing time was initiated by
Josh Smith
being out with an injury but he got 43 minutes Saturday night with
Smith back in the lineup. Childress has scored in double figures in
12 of 47 games this season with 4 of them occurring since February
4th. Since the Hawks are a lock for the lottery you would think
they should feed Childress as much playing time as he can handle.
Realize though with his typical lack of assists, steals, and blocks
his fantasy value could evaporate once he stops hitting everything
from the field. Defenses also may ! start paying a lot more
attention to him. The Hawks should also want to give Smith playing
time and once he is back in shape should start contributing blocks
again.
Mike James had his fourth
consecutive strong game with 18 pts and 3 treys but I am not
convinced that this is anything but a freaky hot streak. This game
was once again a blow out. I would like to see a good game from him
in a close game. But you want to consider riding the wave.
