I just wanted to let you know that I subscribed to your service for the first time last year and I was extremely impressed with your service. The analysis was excellent and I especially liked the customized presentation of the player rating report.

I've been the commissioner of my league for 9 years now and until I received your player report and updates, I never have seen anyone put as much thought into their fantasy basketball analysis as I do.

Until last year, the only outside analysis I would use was the two Ultimate Sports fantasy magazines, Pro Basketball and Hawe's Fantasy Basketball. Even these sources were sketchy and so I only used them for guidance.

Each time I read one of your articles I feel like you are writing my thoughts.I agree with almost all of your analysis. I especially agreed with your recent article on playing time.

I definitely will subscribe again this year. Might I suggest that you advertise your site more prominently. I rarely find your site mentioned as a link on other fantasy basketball sites. Your service is much more valuable than 99% of all of the other fantasy basketball sites out there and people should know about it.

Jeffrey Grill

I said last year that I wouldn't mess with success, so for the second year in a row, I paid a few bucks for the customized rating report from HoopsKlyce.

For the second year in a row, I won the league. I had never finished higher than 4th before, but HoopsKlyce is an obvious advantage. The method that Hoops uses to calculate a player's value is - barring injuries - nearly perfect. I started with a team I was very happy with, and after some injuries to semi-key players (Bobby Phills, Marcus Camby, Kelvin Cato) I started to perform even better. I came on strong at the end, and won the league going away. Thanks again Hoops... You've got a customer for life.  Kevin Cole

Thanks for your service. I ended up in a tie for first place with the guy that led our league the entire year. I picked up my last point on the last day of the year ( points category) even though I had to reserve my top pick Tim Duncan. My final ten guys were: Brand, Sharif, Odom, R. Rogers, Carter, Mcgrady, A. Davis, J Neuman, Armstrong and Mobley. Looking forward to seeing this year's final ratings on your web site so I can start preparing for next year!! Regards,  JNB2@ntrs.com

I am writing to thank you, on this, the last day of the NBA season, for your help in putting together what has been a magical year for me. I am tied for first place in a league of 13 teams going into tonight. In recent fantasy seasons prior to this year, I never finished better than 6 out of ten. Going into tonight's games, I am tied with a perennial "top-2" finisher who is an evil basketball genius in his own right. (He gets other GMs drunk and then rips them off in absurd trades, i.e. he traded Odom and Greg Buckner for Garnett; Dampier for Mitch Richmond; Jelani Mccoy, Kerry Kittles and Bryant Reeves for Stephon Marbury and Elden Campbell). Anyway, this year, I am convinced that Hoopsklyce made all the difference for me, pushing me over the top with insightful predictions about player performance. Whether I wake up tomorrow in first or second place, I will consider it a very successful year. Thank you, Hoopsklyce.

Andy Rosenberg

Let me thank you for the professionalism and effort that goes into the preparation of your NBA basketball rankings. As a result of using your rankings and updates, I was able to win my league championship. Can't wait for the next NBA season to start.

I adored your service and only wish you were doing baseball; hockey and football. Keep up the good work.   Kevin Bakewell

I though your service was excellent. I am tied for first in one league and in 3rd in the other league. The league I am in third with I was plagued by injuries. I plan on being in one or more leagues next year and I will definitely use your service. Unfortunately I will not tell anyone about it because I would not want to lose the advantage.  M. Alhadeff

I have been playing roto basketball since 1990. I play in a 10 team, 15 active players, 5 reserve player league. I have placed in the money (first 4 places pay out) approx. half the time. I have come in first only once. This is the first year I have subscribed to your service and I am in a three way battle for first place (I can not place lower than third). I exclusively used your Preseason Player Rating Report for our auction. I had an excellent draft (also no major injuries) and some good free agent pick ups as a result of your player rating report and newsletter. I found the newsletter most valuable, especially the breaking news story ones. I look forward to it every morning. First thing I do in the morning is go on-line to read the newsletter. I appreciated the player comments you made.  The only recommendation I have is regarding your recommendations of if a player has any fantasy value or not. It appears to me your comments were directed at smaller team leagues. Believe it or not, some of the players you believed not to have any fantasy value, actually did in our league. Amaechi (Orlando) comes to mind. In our league he actually helped and not hurt his fantasy team. What I am trying to say is maybe in the future address your comments to some of the deeper leagues (I don't consider 10 teams a deep league. Some years we have had 12 teams participate with 2 less players per roster.) Other than that small issue, you did a FANTASTIC job. I will be with you next year. Unfortunately, because of the great job you do, I have not, nor plan to, share your service with other team owners in my league. I guess there is a downside for being good. Thank you for all your help this year. Keep up the good work!!!!!  Andrew Costanza

Hoops response - Will give guidelines next year as to the league depth required for certain players to have fantasy value.

I relied heavily on your preseason report to draft my team. What I found very helpful were the projected stats and the fact that the report was customized to the stats we follow in my league. I believe that your report helped most in making sure I had a team that competed in all of our categories. I would recommend your service to anyone (other than the other guys in my league, of course!).  Henry Anderson

I'm real satisfied with both the email and preseason rankings. On the website rankings I have two suggestions. First, would it be possible to have a regular update day - every other Sunday for example. Second, could you put the update day on the entry or home page. So for example, before I log into the rankings page I know when the latest update took place. A simple "Updated 4/3/00". Then I know if I've already seen this info. Thanks, I think you've done a great job, and I especially appreciate your answering my questions during the course of the season.   Steve Clapp
Hoops response - Will incorporate the suggestion for showing the update date before the log in.

I appreciate the service this year. I'm in a complex league (10 team, partial keeper league that has 10 categories, and awards money for 1st 3 places overall, and the winner in each category). I took over a team that finished last in '99 and will finish 4th with 3 category wins (ORB, FG%, TOM). More importantly, I've got several potential keepers (we hold 5 of 12 players) in Mutombo, Ewing, Camby, McGrady, and maybe Marion. (My keeper list going into the year was Kukoc, Laettner, Nick Anderson, Christie, and Howard - yuck). The service is most valuable to me in keeping up with who's hot, and your comments about past performance have kept me from making a couple of bad moves. What I'd love to see is a "good players who sucked lately" kind of list in the Fast Break Newsletter. I play with a couple of fair weather guys and can often make a good deal trading a hot journeyman for an established player who's had a couple of bad games. Trouble is its time consuming for me to find out who was bad, and I don't have much time. Thanks for a good year though.   Roger

Hoops response - Will be mindful to point out good players who have sucked lately next season!

Your information and ratings greatly helped me in comparison with my own formulas and ratings….I anticipate finishing first in our ten team league…Thanks again for the ratings and periodic updates.   Dan Van Coppenolle

I have been a subscriber for a couple of years and I am very pleased. I am in first place by over 100 points. To put this in perspective, second, third, and fourth place teams are separated by 12 points, so I am kicking everyone's butt!!! I enjoy the daily notes because they made me aware of Ron Artest before anyone else in my league. Also, I e-mailed you for some advice concerning a couple of trades. Your timely response was greatly appreciated. I'll be back for years to come! Thanks again, John

I subscribed to the fast break newsletter. I just wanted to let you know, this was my first season doing fantasy basketball, and I think you do a great job with the newsletter. I especially appreciate your comments after each player, on how they've been doing recently (i.e. hot streak or cold streak, lingering injuries, etc.) I find that to be the most valuable part of it. My team is tearing up the head-to-head league I am in. I am 19-3, with the top seed in the playoffs. (A lot of it had to do with drafting Shaq). Hopefully, I can keep it going in our playoffs, and win the title. Keep up the good work!  Zack

This is the 2nd year I have used your service. The preseason player rating system has been dead on. I finished in 1st last year and I am on my way to first this year. The report is perfect for someone who keeps abreast of league news but does not want to crunch the numbers themselves. The fastbreak emailer was an excellent aid in determining which free agents were worth signing, especially early in the season (Adrian Griffin). Thanks for an excellent job this year.  Mike Sullivan

The service is great overall. I am currently leading my league, and I was able to pick up some sleepers like McGrady based on your pre-season rankings. My one suggestion would be to have your YTD and 10-game rankings updated on a more regular basis (perhaps weekly). Keep up the good work!
Hoops response - Ratings next season will be on a more regular schedule

Hoops - You were great! Wish you were doing baseball. I will finish 2nd or 3rd in a league of 10. Get this. This league does baseball and football. They called and asked if I wanted to go along on basketball. I knew NOTHING about basketball, but said OK. They called later and said, "Why aren't you playing?" I said I didn't know it had begun. I tapped in on Yahoo BB, and there I was, dead last and 600 points being next to last. I surfed the net, found you, and BAM. It was a steady march up. I couldn't think of a way you could improve. The daily e-mails are great, and the season and 10-day rankings are too. Many thanks, and I'll definitely be back next year. Pete Likens

I've found Fast Break to be helpful in ensuring a second set of eyes (besides my own) to remain vigilant for useful free agents. I also appreciate your insights on whether big stat nights are likely to be recurrent or "one-shot only". In particular, I like the updated ratings on your web site that focus on stats over the last 10 games -- a very useful format indeed! Anyway, keep up the good work!  Woody Johnson

I think you did a great job on everything this year. I'm very pleased with your service. Thanks very much.   Chris McGrath

Just a note to tell you I appear to have my roto league won (with your assistance) this year. I'm currently a whopping 11 points ahead of the 2nd place team. We have 11 teams/15 players/10 active/no positions required/P-R-A-BL-S (full) and 3PT-TO-FG%-FT% (half) categories league. In retrospect, I won it at the initial draft when, with 200 dollars, I drafted the following 10 players: Jason Kidd (63), Eddie Jones (32), Grant Hill (38), Theo Ratliff (21), Tracy McGrady (31), Cliff Robinson (5), Wally Szczerbiak (3), Bryon Russell (2), Jalen Rose (1- hard to believe, but true!) and Walt Williams (2) then filled it out in our accordion rounds with: Donyell Marshall, Ced Ceballos, Antonio Davis, Dale Davis and Isaac Austin. Thanks for all your assistance. I used the access to the ESPN roto injury report and Patricia's media page links often. Your updates were a great way to highlight details that may go unnoticed by just reading daily boxscores. Thanks again.  Neal Baseman

From Chris Colston at USA Today (ccolston@usatoday.com)

"HoopsKlyce charges for his player rankings, but they're worth it. He's very good. You can also read his columns on his site for free. He's knowledgeable and his stuff contains great information that can benefit any roto player. "
(taken from article at: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketba/skn/colcol14.htm)

Hoops Klyce,

Needless to say, I won my league. I have been the commissioner of a fantasy rotisserie basketball league for 8 years now, and only twice have won any money. This year, I did more than just buy a couple of fantasy basketball magazines. They aren't even published close to the beginning of the season. I paid for the HoopsKlyce personalized player rating report. Based on the way MY league is run, I got a list from "first to worst" of all NBA players worth anything in fantasy value. I was the only one in my league with any real idea of what players were really worth based on our system. I watched other guys spend a lot of money at our auction for players that weren't even in the top 25. I got 3 of the top 10 rated players, 5 in the top 25, and 8 in the top 50, and saved money to boot. Now, my work was not done. I did have to take what I had learned about the player rankings, and be aggressive with free agent pickups, but the core of my team was rock solid: Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, Theo Ratliff, and Doug Christie. When I saw what George Lynch and Jason Williams were doing, I snatched them up. Over the 12 week season, I was the overall winner of 7 weeks, and finished first overall, a few points ahead of 2nd, and a mile ahead of anyone else. I will definitely use HoopsKlyce again. Why mess with success!! Kevin Cole commish@worldnet.att.net

HoopsKlyce,   I just wanted to say thanks. Due in no small part to your list I won my office Fantasy League. Early on I lost Zydrunas and Anthony Mason and Eric Williams might as well have been. You helped out a lot on draft day and your daily e-mails were great too.

Thanks again,

HoopsKlyce,  I appreciate your service. It was useful as I wound up winning both my league's regular season title as well as the playoffs! Thanks...D. W. Johnson

HoopsKlyce,  Thanks for your insight this season. Your approach to the game is to be admired. I will win my league this year, after a great start and then a gut check at the end. I learned a valuable lesson this year: FG% can be impacted quickly, and is easier to make up ground than most other categories. I had a great team this season with some marquee players(Malone, Iverson, Pierce, Carter, Webber, Pippen)--But it was the addition of Wesley, Hornacek, & Sabonis that bolstered my FG% in the last 2 weeks that allowed me to jump 3 spots. You have a great summer also, and I really look forward to subscribing to your service next year. Lennie Wesley

HoopsKlyce,  Thank you for all the NBA information all year!! This is greatly appreciated. Please keep me informed about next year's mailing list.

HoopsKlyce,  I won in the finals of my AOL league! I have played Fantasy Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey numerous times, and never made it to the playoffs, let alone the finals. The $12 I paid was a real bargain!!!!! Basically, I was stacked at Forward (Garnett, McDyess, B Grant, and Jayson Williams - Nets) and OK at G and C. The real payoff was in drafting BOTH Jason Williams (Sac) and Tracy McGrady. I started Williams all year, and held on to him despite numerous trade offers (most of which were blatant lowball offers). I used McGrady in the playoffs when Jayson Williams went on the DL. Without these two players, whom I wouldn't have drafted without your help, I would not have made the playoffs or reached the finals. Thanks!!! Doug Steward

HoopsKlyce, Great mailing list. I looked forward to it everytime I opened my mail. Thanks!

HoopsKlyce, I was second last year and first this year. Overall I thought your rankings were solid. I thought you made a great call on McDyess. I will subscribe to your service again next year. I think my biggest suggestion would be to have your update more time sensitive to the persons draft. I don't know if that is possible with your ranking system or not. I thought you did a good job on the player profile also.

John Dishinger
john.dishinger@rci.com

Note from HoopsKlyce: To address John's comment regarding having dated material in the update I will be offereing a daily pre-season mailer as part of the Update package!

Just thought I'd let you know that I won my league with the best record in the 5 year history of the league. Thanks for your help. I look forward to using your info in the years to come. John.Stevenson@infores.com (John Stevenson)

Hoopsklyce,  I haven't had a chance to thank you for making my basketball season loads of fun. I finished in the middle of the pack (tons of major injuries). Your preseason and websight reports were the biggest help. I'm looking forward to order it againt this coming season. I loved your off season e-mails. Thanks again for making my season successful and fun. Allen Bank
lindabwi@genevaonline.com

David,  My wife and I (Net Worths.Com and Zealots)played in your second playoff team for the plalyoffs and had a great time. Thanks for letting us have a chance to play with the big boys. This was our first year playing fantasy basketball and your articles and daily updates were a real help for us rookies. Thanks again, see you in the fall.

Mike Reed ( klete@indynet.com)

I ordered your report last year also and I won my league for the first time. I was usually near the top in previous years but I feel your report put me over the top and gave me that needed edge to win. In fact, I led our league wire to wire.   Richard Lane
richard.lane@lmco.com

Thanks for a great year! Needless to say, I finished first in our league. After our draft, I was at home feeling great about my team, when another GM in our league called. He said he was sitting around with other GMs from our league discussing the upcoming season. They actually thought I had the worst team in the league! In the following 12 weeks, I finished first 7 times and second 5 times. I'll be back for your service for many years to come. Keep up the good work.  Thanks, John Solomon
jasolomo@us.oracle.com

This is great stuff again and it is an invaluable tool for my draft. I have finished in top two or three of our league for past three years and attribute this solely to your reports and auction values.  Pete Picard

Hoops,  Excellent site! Best Fantasy Basketball strategy/rankings I have seen. I just signed up for the Total Package and I'm looking forward to receiving your information. Thanks again for maintaining such a world class site!

Hoops,  Appreciate your help. I enjoyed your daily FastBreaks this season--interesting, and helped me (a casual NBA fan) alot in my fantasy leagues. Nobody writes updates as good as you do.  Herbert Thiele

Hi Hoops,  I just wanted to let you know how valuable your service has been to me. I usually do rather poorly in fantasy basketball. This year I decided to subscribe to your service and depend 100% on your advice. Well, at this point, in the 6 leagues that I belong to, I am in 1st place in 4 of them, 2nd place in another. It couldn't be any better. Thanks a bundle.   Tom Ely
